A favorite marks a location so it is easy to search, find on the map, and add to a route later. Creating a favorite does not add the place to today's route by itself. See Stops vs favorites.
From a stop already on your route
Open your route and tap the stop you want to save.
Choose Add Favorite or Save as Favorite.
The location is marked as a favorite. You can add it to future routes from Add stops from favorites.
From a new location (not on a route yet)
Use any add stop flow, but choose Save as Favorite instead of adding the place to today's route.
Open Add Stop search, drop a map pin, or use another method from Adding Stops.
Enter or confirm the address.
Tap Save as Favorite (or Add Favorite) instead of Add to Route.

Bulk import favorites
You can include favorites in a spreadsheet upload on Pro and Teams. Use the upload template and optional columns described in Add stops from a spreadsheet.
