Optimization can fail or be blocked when your route or account hits a plan limit. This page explains what to check before you assume the app is broken.
Live limits change. Always confirm current stop caps and optimization rules on the Pricing page and in Plans and pricing.
Why did optimization fail?
Before you look at plan limits, rule out common route issues:
Confirm every stop has a valid address (or coordinates). Optimization cannot run with missing location data.
Check how many stops are on the route compared with your plan's maximum stops per route. See Plans and pricing and Pricing.
Run Optimize again after you fix addresses or remove extra stops. See Optimize and route settings.
Daily optimization quotas
When limits are finalized, this section will describe:
- How Basic (Free), Pro, and Teams differ for optimization
- Whether limits are per route, per day, or both
- What happens when you hit a cap (wait until reset, upgrade, or contact support)
Until then, use Pricing as the source of truth.
Basic (Free) vs Pro vs Teams
| Plan | Where to check limits | | --- | --- | | Basic (Free) | Pricing — free-tier stop caps and whether full optimization is included | | Pro | Pricing — solo-driver stop limits and optimization | | Teams | Pricing — dispatcher and per-driver limits |
To upgrade from Basic (Free) to Pro, see Manage your subscription.
I need to optimize more stops
Practical options that usually help today:
- Split a large route into two routes and optimize each separately
- Remove checked-in or completed stops before re-optimizing the remainder
- Upgrade if your plan's per-route stop cap is too low for your workday
Still stuck?
Email support@roadwarrior.app with your plan (Basic, Pro, or Teams), how many stops are on the route, and any error message shown when you tap Optimize.
