RoadWarrior can search contacts on your device when you add stops. Contact search is off by default. Turn it on once, allow the system permission, then search by contact name like any other address.
Contact import is mobile only (iOS and Android). The web app does not access your phone's contact list.
Before you start
Each contact must already have an address saved in your device's Contacts app. RoadWarrior reads that address field. It cannot add a stop from a name-only contact.
If the address is missing, edit the contact on your device first, then search again in RoadWarrior.
How do I enable contact search?
Open your route and tap the Add Stop button at the bottom to enter search mode.
Tap the Settings gear in the top right of the search screen.
Turn on Search Contacts.
When iOS asks for permission, tap Allow so RoadWarrior can read contacts with addresses.
You only need to enable this once per device unless you revoke permission in system settings. For other search options, see Search settings.
How do I add a stop from a contact?
With contact search enabled, open Add Stop search mode on your route.
Type the contact's name in the search field.
Select the matching result that shows their saved address.
Tap Add Stop to place it on your route.
From the same result screen you can also Set as Start Point or Save as Favorite, same as a regular address search. See Add a stop from an address.
Contact not showing up?
Confirm the contact has a street address saved in your device's Contacts app (not just a phone number or email).
Check that Search Contacts is still on in RoadWarrior search settings.
Open Settings on your device and confirm RoadWarrior has Contacts permission. Re-enable if you previously denied it.
Try the full name or a shorter spelling if several contacts share a similar name.
